AOC 2010

This year I finally gave into Bria and Cailen and Samantha's protests. I went to AOC. AOC is All Ontario Choir. I would be lying if I said that I did not enjoy going. That would be a BIG lie. I had more fun during those 2 1/2 days then I ever had before. When we first got there on Thursday afternoon I was put in the BEST group ever with CHUCKLE TROUSERS and PERHAPS as the group leaders. (WARNING: I will be capitalizing a lot of things because I had such a GREAT time.)

Chuckle Trousers and Perhaps lead the Pumpkin Orange during the weekend. I really enjoyed having devos with Chuckle Trousers, Perhaps, Hailey, Lindsay, Geoff, Brenda, Ben, Brittany, and Andrew. I will truly miss everyone of them. They either really care about everyone in the group or they are REALLY good at pretending that they care. I think the first sounds right.

I also loved the way all the guys showed love to the women of the choir. They let ALL the girls go before them, helped all the girls carrying their stuff. I never have seen so many guys show so much love and respect to young women.

Coffee House. Coffee House had so many AMAZING, TALENTED people performing amazing songs, poems, and skits. I think that some of my favourites were Christy playing piano and singing The Thief, Hailey singing Misguided Ghosts, Jordan playing the piano and singing a song he wrote for his older brother after he passed away this past Dec. called Ecstasy. Another song I really loved was written by Andrew called When I am Week based on 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 and Psalm 27:1b. My favourite line from his song was "Your grace is sufficient for me." Andrew if you read this please you MUST record that song. It just to good to just be heard only by AOC people. Record it!!! Everyone who performed was amazing and I hope that they continue their gifts to the glory of God.

At Coffee House I played the violin for the first time in public since I changed churches. I had so much fun. I wish that I could do it again. Maybe play at my church on a Sunday. Probably not though.

I WILL be back next year and I will always remember AOC 2010 for the rest of my life. I hope that I will see all of the people I met this year at AOC 2011. I also hope to keep in touch with all of the amazing people I met this year via e-mail, phone (although I hate talking to people on it, maybe AOC people can change that for me), or maybe Pumpkin Orange could get together at a Timmies or something. I will always remember AOC for the rest of my life. Thank you everyone for making me have the best 2 1/2 days of my life.
